Small Squashed WM13

5.5cm
A squashed ghost of a thunderegg sitting in perlite host rock and wondering what the hell happened. There's really not much even here, at lest visible on this cut. Just some strands of green matrix (outer shell) and a small twist of very very simple agate. And yet ... there's a lot of energy in this little stone. Or impacting it. It has been blasted open, one side totally punched in with outside material flooding the core like a pathogen invading a cell. And yet there it is - still a trace in the rock with a story to tell.
It is from a location that is extremely prone to this kind of disruption, poetically named WM13. A very clinical name for a location where amazing and beautiful things happen.
I miiiight just squirrel this one away on my own shelf, at least for now. It wouldn't be very valuable, I fear - a tiny ghost thunderegg - so why not? I like stones with stories.
